Bird Photography Hides
Bird photography hides are a perfect place for beginners and professional wildlife photographers who would like to enjoy a breath-taking experience being really close to birds and capture plumage details, behaviour or feeding habits like never before.
We tend to rearrange our hides every year according to the changes in the natural conditions. Due to the great diversity of habitats we are able to show our clients amazingly close views of cca. 50-55 species from the hides.
Our bird photography hides are designed to get as close to the birds as possible. Most of the hides have glass panorama windows with a specific layer preventing birds seeing you and your camera movements while you can comfortably change position if needed (the glass can be replaced with scrim nets if preferred). The hides are set up to benefit either from the best morning or afternoon lights.
Our Hides
Waterside Hides
Our hides are situated along a beautiful lake on the floodplain of the river Tisza. Nearby there is a heronry with 8 species breeding. The shallow water provides habitat for breeding and migrating waders, grebes and ducks.
Capacity: 2 photographers/ hide
Season: from early April to October
Species: Purple, Squacco and Night Herons, Great and Little Egrets, Spoonbill, Pygmy Cormorant, Garganey, Ferruginous Duck, Black-necked, Little and Great Crested Grebes, Whiskered and occasionally White-winged Tern, Black-headed Gull, 5-6 species of waders

Drinking Hides
Cleverly designed drinking stations in four different habitats (forest, old orchard, puszta area and village garden) well blending into their environment.

Season: from May to July. From November to March birds visit bird tables set up at three of the hides.
Species: tits, 4-5 species of finches including Hawfinch, 3 species of thrushes, Turtle Dove, 4-5 species of woodpeckers including Middle Spotted, Lesser Spotted and Syrian, Red-backed Shrike, Nuthatch,4-5 species of Warblers, Nightingale, Sparrowhawk, Kingfisher, etc.
Capacity: 2-3 photographers/hide

Mobile Hides
Seasonal mobile hides follow the movement of birds, e.g. colonies of Bee-eaters or other interesting species providing great opportunities for bird photography.

Tower Hide
Our tower hide with panorama windows is looking at a busy colony of Red-footed Falcons. It is located in the steppe area next to a patch of woodland.

Floating Hide
It is still in an experimental stage, but the hide is ready to take adventurous photographers. The small floating platform is well camouflaged and it is suitable for stalking photography in shallow water or swamps. A wetsuit is provided.

4 X 4 Safari
With our 4WD van we regularly do short wildlife photography trips during the early morning hours when shots of Brown Hare, Roe Deer, birds of prey, some passerines and nice landscapes can be taken.

Great Bustard Hide
The photography hide situated in the best Great Bustard area in Hungary. During a week you can spend a whole day in the hide photographing Great Bustards lekking and feeding. During the rest of the week you can visit the other bird photography hides in the Kiskunság.

Winter raptor Hides
We built our feeding stations for raptors in close vicinity of the Kiskunság National Park but there is an another hide in Northern Serbia available for us if bird movement requires.

Kingfisher Hide
On the bird photography tours we use the Oriole Lodge as base. It has a huge garden always full of attraction and at the back of the garden a Kingfisher hide!
The star of the bird photo tours in the summer season is the Kingfisher. We are very optimistic that it will be on the menu of the bird photography tours in the next years too.

Canoe Trips
We can organize canoe trips for whole groups on the nearby oxbows or ponds. Beautiful landscapes and many waterbirds are likely to be seen including good chances for nice flightshots as well.

Bükk/Börzsöny Hills Extension
We have developed a new extension to the Borzsony Hills for forest species. There are several nest boxes for Ural Owls with breeding birds every year. This often allows us to get as close to them as the ones below…
Other targets include several species of woodpeckers (Black, White-backed, Middle Spotted, Grey-headed), Wood Warbler, Collared and Red-breasted Flycatcher. We set up mobile hides and also do stalking to get close enough to the birds. Our local guide knows the area and the birds intimately and he can assist you taking great pictures of the above species. You can spend 3 to 5 days in the area depending on your target species.
